This latest newly released album breaks the silence and is representative of next-generational Chinese metal, drawn with a magnificent scale and world view. It is also the culmination of Lin's Japanese and Chinese background, and a new frontier for him as an artist. A beautiful, ephemeral, and gentle melody, the invitation from the first song "-Daydream-" leads to "Ninth Heaven-". Jiu Tian Lan Yue takes inspiration from old Chinese phrase in which Lin analogizes “Delivering music from heaven to the world”.
In this world, the situation changes; new disparities and ideological differences are born in society and the division between east and west progresses toward chaos.
However, rock music and the people who love it lives all over the world.
Music physically and spiritually crosses national borders through Lin's live shows and album releases. This album embodies the pride of being Asian through the sound of rock music born in the West.
That is the theme of this work. An experience of sound, spreading a gem of oriental rock beyond imagination.
In addition, Yue (ex. Lilith) participated in the arrangement of the drums part of this work. The strings section in the song is handled by Takumi who is a member of Sukekiyo and the manipulator of Dir en grey. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ◇作品紹介◇ 前作「INNOCENCE」の発売から約2年。 沈黙を破り、新たに放たれる最新作は壮大なスケールと世界観で描かれる次世代中華メタル! 日中をバックグラウンドに持つ、凛-Lin-の歩みの集大成でもあり、新境地と言える作品である。 美しくも儚い、優しい旋律、一曲目の「-夢境-」(Daydream)からの誘い、「九天攬樂-Ninth Heaven-」へと繋がる。 九天攬樂(きゅうてんらんがく)と読み、九天攬月(きゅうてんらんげつ)という成句を用いた造語であるが、天上より世界に音楽を届けるという意味が込められている。 変わりゆく世界情勢の中、西側と東側、分断の進む世界。 メディアの偏向報道によって誤解を招くことが多くなった今、両方が自分にとって大切なルーツである凛-Lin-にとっては複雑な心境に他ならない。 しかし、そんな中でも確実にロックミュージックは世界各地で生きており、そこには音楽を愛する人々の姿がある。 様々な場所でライブ活動や作品リリースをしてきた経験があるからこそ、実際に音楽は国境を越えるということを知っている。
西側で生まれたロックミュージックにアジア人としての誇りを音に昇華して体現する。
それが今作のテーマである。
まずはその「音」を体感してほしい。
そこに広がるのは想像を越える珠玉の東洋ロックである。
